1st Business Idea Competition Was Held
On March 17, 2022, the “1st Business Idea Competition” was organized with the participation of our 3rd-year students. In the competition, eight projects prepared by Ahmet Özcan, Deha Balta, Ahsen Koç, Havva Kaner, Selin Sindel, İbrahim Uysal, İbrahim Özen, Melis Aydoğdu, Oğuz Beksöz, and Sema Çavdar were presented.
The projects were evaluated by the jury members: Prof. Dr. Ahmet KÖROĞLU (Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Balikesir University), Elif BİNİCİ (Director of NE10 City Research and Technology Development Center), Prof. Dr. Ali Kemal GÜRBÜZ (Head of the Department of Recreation Management), Prof. Dr. Cevdet AVCIKURT (Head of the Department of Tourism Management), Prof. Dr. Özlem KÖROĞLU (Head of the Department of Tourism Guiding), Prof. Dr. Barış ERDEM (Faculty Member of the Department of Recreation Management), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Banu YILDIZ.
As a result of the competition:

The project titled “Seyr-ü Sefa”, jointly prepared by Melis Aydoğdu and Deha Balta, won first place,

The project titled “Rest in Peace”, prepared by Sema Çavdar, won second place,
-
The project titled “Alo Hotel”, prepared by Ahsen Koç, won third place.
At the end of the competition, all participating students were presented with certificates of appreciation and awards.
We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Barış ERDEM, faculty member of the Department of Recreation Management, who coordinated the competition, and Elif BİNİCİ, Director of NE10 City Research and Technology Development Center, for providing training support to our students on project preparation techniques prior to the competition.
