Recreatation Management Department Students Review Animation & Entertainment Practices in Field

Students from Balıkesir University Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Recreation Management, Associate Professor of Recreatation Management Department on October 6, 2026. Dr. Musa OFLAZ and Dr. Home Club Yalı Hotels & Resort, located in Izmir, accompanied by Professor Ibrahim MİSİR, participated in a day-to-day training trip to Club Resort Atlantis.

Students under the tour found the opportunity to review animation activities, recreative events, event areas and the methods of implementation of these activities. Students participating in animation programs performed in the day have achieved the opportunity to experience the process directly by observing the preparation and implementation of events.

The programs prepared specifically for animation teams’ work layout, different age and interest groups were closely reviewed by students to increase the distribution and guest engagement in the day of events. Thus, students had the opportunity to see the opposite of the subjects taken in the classrooms, as well as to evaluate the use of recreation areas, the organization of events and animation activities in the workplace.

To experience two different facilities in the same day, it has contributed students to compare different forms of work in the recreation area and to know the working environment they can serve in the future. The realized training trip was an efficient application process that supports students’ professional knowledge and experience with field observations and direct participation.
